Yorkshire Energy Doctor is looking for two Community Energy Advisers who can:
- raise awareness of our energy advice service in the East Riding area
- deliver energy outreach sessions to community groups, and
- provide 1-2-1 practical advice, support and advocacy to help households reduce their energy bills and be safe, warm and well.
There will be a specific emphasis on supporting older people in this area.
They are looking for someone who is proactive, empathetic and wants to make a difference to people. You will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of the current challenges facing low income and vulnerable households, and experience of working in the voluntary sector and/or within local communities. Knowledge of energy saving issues and ways to reduce bills is desirable, but training and support will be provided.
