SE24 was established in 2015 and has grown significantly since then. But with the massive growth in community energy activity, combined with new central and local government funding support, there are potentially many more opportunities available.

SE24 have decided to re-invigorate their Executive team and structure to meet the three challenges of:

  • Growth: more projects and bigger projects
  • Managing and delivering those projects better
  • Improving our Community Engagement.

As part of this reorganisation SE24 are recruiting a non-executive Chair to help lead their team through this process of exciting growth and change.

Renewable Energy Consultant

Sharenergy Employees can work remotely, though will be expected to visit some sites as part of the role. Head office is based in Shrewsbury, and occasional visits for all staff meetings may be required. £33,000 - £37,000 a year

Sharenergy is one of the UK’s leading community energy organisations. They are looking for somebody exceptional to work in their Development Team.

The team currently has 5 members, working closely with volunteer-led groups, energy experts, commercial and community entities to deliver new projects. Sharenergy work as consultants on individual projects and as incubators of whole new approaches, from the ground-breaking Big Solar Co-op to the Community Heat Development unit.

Community Engagement Coordinator

RenewEV RenewEV has its office in Corsham Wiltshire Salary dependant on experience (full :me equivalent).

The role of the Community Engagement Coordinator is to support the community energy development team to work on community energy projects which require constulation activities to support the pre planning feasibility, planning application and fundraising process.

This involves suppor:ng the team in iden:fying community stakeholders, local communication options, arranging events and supporting materials, attending events (which can be out of hours and weekends) and liaising with local community members to help answer queries and build support for projects.

Retrofit Coordinator

Future Fit Homes project - SELCE & Repowering You will have an office base at The Forum@Greenwich ( Selce) or Blue Star House Lambeth ( Repowering London) with provision for flexible work from home. You will be expected to work from the office base at least one day per week. £40,000

Selce and Repowering London are partnering to deliver an innovative approach to domestic retrofit that will insulate homes, alleviate fuel poverty and play a leading role in responding to the climate emergency. They will implement a community-led approach to address one of the great engineering challenges of our time – improving the energy efficiency of the UK’s housing stock. Solving this challenge will address fuel poverty and climate change.
