Our network

Who we work with in the sector and beyond

We work with a wide range of associations, networks, and organisations to increase our impact. These include community energy hubs, trade associations, campaigning organisations, and finance and support providers. We bring together community, public, and private sector organisations from across the energy, climate, co-operative, and social enterprise sectors.

National and international networks

We work closely with the community energy representative bodies in Scotland and Wales to provide a coherent and co-ordinated voice to influence UK energy policy. We also work with a number of other national and international trade bodies and networks, many of which are Partner members.

Government collaboration

We work constructively with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, their regional net zero hubs and other Government bodies, including Great British Energy to support the growth of community energy.

Acting as the voice of the sector

A core part of our work is representing the community energy sector when regulators, government, electricity networks, and other organisations create stakeholder and working groups to feed into their policy processes and strategic planning.

In addition to the working groups we convene, members of our team or our members currently represent the sector on a number of external panels, advisory groups, and taskforces. We pass these opportunities onto our members, where possible, and especially when the panels are regionally based, to ensure that expert practitioners are informing policy development and planning.
