Our AGM gives our members the opportunity to participate in the running of our co-op through submitting and voting on resolutions, and electing (or even standing for) our Board of Directors. Everybody is welcome, but only shareholders can vote.

This year, BEC is particularly looking for a Non-Executive Director interested in becoming our new Treasurer. The Treasurer chairs the Board’s Finance Sub-Committee and works with Naomi, our Finance Director, to oversee BEC’s financial management. Ideally for this role we are looking for someone with professional experience in finance, accounting or a related field.

While most of our NEDs are members, it’s not strictly required, so if you know of a non-member who might be interested (and might want to join!) please do let them know.
