This session is part of Seeing is Believing, a programme funded and delivered by the North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub, in partnership with Community Energy England, Ashden and Centre for Sustainable Energy. This specific webinar is a collaboration between Seeing is Believing, Community Energy Pathways and Energy Systems Catapult.
The webinar will explore how effective procurement can recognise social value and ensure strong delivery partnerships between local authorities and community energy enterprises.
Speakers:
Jim Owen, Procurement Manager for Energy Systems Catapult, will talk about procurement best practices for community energy organisations (and small businesses) and why it is important to get procurement right from day one.
Dr Colin Nolden is a non-executive director of Community Energy Pathways and has a background spanning energy policy, climate policy and sustainable development. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Energy Institute, Sheffield University Management School, and has recently been appointed Specialist Adviser of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee (ESNZ).
