2025 Award Finalist: Fuel Poverty Action: ECOE Advice

ECOE Advice tackles fuel poverty across Devon by providing tailored energy and money-saving advice, home visits, debt support, and practical energy efficiency measures. In 2024-25, they reached nearly 50,000 households, carried out 2,429 home visits, and helped residents save over £2.9 million through energy, benefits, and debt support. Their work includes installing draught-proofing, radiator reflectors, LED bulbs, smart meters, and helping households access grants for heating or insulation. ECOE also runs Energy Advice Hubs in Torbay and Exeter, trains community Energy Champions and frontline staff, and shares expertise with local organisations. Judges praised ECOE’s innovative, data-driven approach, wide reach, and measurable impact, noting that combining debt relief with energy support has made a life-changing difference for thousands of vulnerable households.
