Repowering London has spent the last decade helping Londoners access community-owned renewable energy, now delivering over 1.5 MWp of rooftop solar across nine boroughs, supporting 650+ member investors, and ringfencing £200,000 for local projects. They’ve innovated with urban Energy Local clubs, retrofit services for blocks of flats, and a £1.5 million Repowering Finance fund, while prioritising inclusivity through Creative Energy Clubs, the Community Leads model, and youth education programmes. Judges praised them as “an exemplary community energy group clearly motivated by social ends and a commitment to co-operating, and succeeding in technical and social innovation.”
