Regen is looking for an analyst to drive our just transition and communities work.

As an analyst working with our just transition and communities team, you will conduct rigorous research, present compelling analysis and engage with key policymakers and industry players to shape the transformation of our energy system to place communities and people at its heart.

In particular, you will:
– Undertake high-quality research, stakeholder engagement and analysis to influence decision making and drive fairer policies, programmes and investments at the local, regional and national level
– Deliver high-quality, impactful projects that accelerate just transition action
– Contribute expertise in just transitions and community energy to the wider Regen team, across energy markets, planning, grid connections, heat, industry and transport
– Work effectively with partners and clients across communities, local authorities, governments and energy networks
– Engage with industry and policy developments, such as the Local Power Plan, the Warm Homes Plan and Fuel Poverty Strategy, and upcoming government consultations on shared ownership
– Support external engagement, including helping to prepare briefings, reports, events, blogs and presentations that communicate Regen’s work clearly and accessibly.

We are also open to applications from individuals who have more experience at the project management level within just transitions or community energy and would consider appointing at a higher salary band for the right person.

Essential criteria:
-2-3 years’ experience within the just transition or community energy sectors, or a PhD in a relevant topic
– Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior audiences and present a compelling, evidence-based call for action
– Research and analysis skills, with experience gathering, synthesising and presenting qualitative and quantitative data
– Able to work constructively with a range of stakeholders, confidently engaging people from different backgrounds, including community organisations, local authorities, governments and sector experts.
