Maximise your membership: A guide to the Community Energy England member portal
Community Energy EnglandAt the end of last year, we reached a major milestone with the launch of the new Community Energy England (CEE) website and member portal. Since then, we’ve been busy behind the scenes adding new features, designed specifically to help our member organisations gain more visibility, share their successes, and access exclusive opportunities.
Whether you are a long-standing member or just joining the CEE network, here is how you can use the portal to get the most out of your CEE membership. More developments are in the pipeline, and updates on those will be shared soon.
1. Boost your visibility on the member map

Your organisation is doing incredible work, and we want the sector to know about it. Through the portal, you can now take full control of your member profile which is linked to your pin on our Member Map.
By using the “Edit Organisation” feature, you can upload your logo and provide a detailed description of your expertise and partnership interests. This makes it easier for potential collaborators and the wider sector to find and connect with you.
Pro Tip: Your new profile page also acts as a “live feed.” It will automatically display any news, jobs, or events you’ve posted to the CEE site, giving visitors a 360 degree view of your activity.
2. Promote your news, jobs and investment opportunities
We want the CEE website to be a megaphone for our members. Any member of your team can now use our new webforms to upload content directly to the site.
- News & blogs: Share your latest project updates or thought leadership.
- Jobs: Post your job vacancies to a sector specific audience.
- Share offers & bonds: Direct people to your latest investment opportunities.
3. Access exclusive “member-only” opportunities
The portal isn’t just about settings; it’s about access. We’ve launched a dedicated page within the portal where you can find:
- Project tenders: Be the first to see sector specific contracts.
- Discounted tickets: Access member-only pricing for partnered member events.
- Exclusive offers: Unique benefits negotiated specifically for our network.
Managing your team: The portal manager role
To keep your data secure, each organisation has a portal manager (the prime member contact). If that’s you, you hold the keys to your organisation’s digital presence. You can:
- Approve access: Receive notifications when colleagues register and verify their affiliation.
- Review permissions: Keep an eye on who has access to your membership details.
- Share the load: If you need a helping hand, you can appoint another “manager” to help manage notifications and approvals.
