Repowering London, Energy for London, 10:10 and CEE joined forces to host an event to celebrate the achievements of community groups across London and to discuss the challenges and support required to continue to develop and facilitate the growth of community energy in London, across a range of energy solutions. The role that the new London Mayor could play in helping to boost community energy was also discussed along with role of a new support hub for groups in the capital and how its establishment could facilitate the development of projects. Notes from the event will be made available shortly.
LED Community Project workshop, Sheffield - 23 September
A free workshop which explained each aspect of an LED project. This event was ran in partnership with Pure Leapfrog and Joju Solar
Community Energy Feast, Manchester - 18 October
Community Energy England and Regen SW worked in partnership to deliver a feast which aimed to strengthen local networks of community energy organisations, raise awareness and the profile of community energy, and highlight the good work going on in the sector to MPs, investors and developers. This event was generously supported by Electricity North West, Naturesave, Power to Change and Unicorn Grocery.
