The Energy Learning Network is hosting a webinar to raise awareness of the approach and benefits of community energy to Muslim community organisations and mosques. The webinar will introduce the benefits of collaborating with community energy including:
- Reducing the carbon emissions and running costs of places of worship and community spaces through the installation of low carbon and renewable measures.
- Supporting communities with energy advice to reduce the impact of high bills and stay safe and warm.
The event will highlight the alignment of Islamic values with the community energy approach as well as showcase the value of working with community energy organisations to achieve the above through case studies from speakers across the UK.
This event is being hosted by the Centre for Sustainable Energy, Community Energy Wales and Community Energy Scotland as part of the Energy Learning Network – a National Lottery funded partnership with the aim of sharing learning and supporting collaboration between communities acting on energy.
