Innovation Lab webinar: Lockleaze Loves Solar 16 July - click here to register
Join us in the latest Innovation Lab webinar where we showcase pioneering business models currently being developed in the community energy sector.
This month's event features Low Carbon Gordano and their Lockleaze Loves Solar project funded by the Next Generation programme.
Seeking to develop a model for distributed solar and local trading in an urban context, Low Carbon Gordano worked in partnership with Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust in Bristol. Their project, Lockleaze Loves Solar sought to enable the local community to own and operate a 1 megawatt cluster of solar panels on 300 domestic roofs with the aim of bringing financial savings to those struggling with their energy bills, raise aspirations and provide a platform for local residents to create climate resilience and develop local enterprise.
The project received funding and support from the Next Generation Innovation Fund to develop a business model, and in this webinar Chris from Low Carbon Gordano will be sharing with us the lessons they and the project partners learnt along the way.
All our Innovation Lab webinars include a short presentation followed by an interview and plenty of time to ask questions. Previous webinars have attracted between 30-80 attendees and are a great opportunity to exchange ideas and learn.
Next Generation is funded by Power to Change. This webinar series is a partnership between Next Generation and Community Energy England.
