The 2019 Community Energy Conference took place on 22 June at Sheffield Hallam University. Hosted in partnership by Community Energy England, Co-op Energy and Sheffield Hallam University, the conference was a user-led, interactive day of sessions and networking for practitioners.
The conference saw the launch of the Community Energy State of the Sector Report 2019, prepared by Scene Connect on behalf of Community Energy England and Community Energy Wales. The report found that despite community energy suffering its toughest year yet in 2018, the sector continues to demonstrate resilience and determination. This feeling was certainly present on the day, with a relaxed, delegate-led programme giving rise to conversation and debate.
Partnerships and support appear to be key for the future of community energy, so we would like to take the opportunity to thank delegates, workshop speakers, chairs, our co-host Co-op Energy, the exhibitors and sponsors.
