Join us for our Summer Community Energy Conference - 1 July

19/03/2025

We’re pleased to announce that the CEE Summer Conference 2025 will take place on Tuesday 1 July, at We The Curious, Bristol. We are working in collaboration with National Grid Electricity Distribution, our principal partner for the event, to create a conference that encourages collaboration and meaningful connections across the community energy sector.

Building on your feedback, we’re introducing a new format designed to enhance engagement and networking. While the conference will still feature panel discussions, workshops, and expert insights, we’re placing greater emphasis on interactive participation. A key addition is our open space session, where attendees will shape the agenda by proposing and leading discussions on topics that matter most to them. This will encourage spontaneous collaboration, fresh ideas, and diverse perspectives—making the event more participant-led than ever before.

Emma Bridge, Chief Executive of CEE said: "One of our new strategic priorities is to increase demand for collaborating and investing in community energy. We are pleased to be working with National Grid Electricity Distribution to deliver our summer conference. This partnership will help us to continue to strengthen connections across the community, private and public sectors and will bring further insight to our event.

The additional emphasis on open space, giving participants the opportunity to manage and deliver the morning’s agenda, builds upon the strength of our networks and reflects the growing expertise and experience that exists within our sector. I am looking forward to catching up with practitioners and supporting organisations from across the country and working together to grow both the sector’s scale and impact.”

Launching Community Energy Fortnight 2025

The summer conference will mark the launch of Community Energy Fortnight (CEF) 2025, which will run from 1-14 July in partnership with Ethex. CEF is a vibrant nationwide campaign that can reach thousands of people and involves hundreds of organisations. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your organisation’s activities within your local community, connect with the wider sector, and highlight the impact of community energy to key stakeholders.

This year’s CEF theme will focus on investment, with more details to be announced soon.
