Community Energy England was launched on 4th June at a conference with over 250 registered delegates, a key note from Secretary of State Ed Davey MP and a rousing call to arms from Alan Simpson.
The event was greeted with huge enthusiasm, and a broad consensus that now is the time for a stronger, organised voice for the community energy sector. Thank you to everyone who made the day such a success.
Amongst the outcomes of the day were:
- A letter to the Secretary of State;
- A manifesto for community energy to be developed by the CEE;
- Offers from many members and others to become involved in the association's policy development work;
- Encouragement for all those with an interest in community energy to join CEE.
